How to spin.

The debate continues: get a deck, or spin with just my laptop? I recently rocked a house party with just my laptop. Scratches and all. But I won't lie, I felt like a square. A HUGE square. I think a part of DJing is KNOWING you're cool while you do what you do. I always put on a show, but MOVING while I spin seems to be a real draw. So, ...I don't know. It comes down to funds. Do I have the funds to get a sufficient deck?

Pioneer isn't all that reliable (though they're VERY good in the beginning), and I started off with a Nu-Mark. I can be rough with my decks (I cut with FORCE!, lol), so it could be a matter of me learning how to take better care of my stuff. At the same time, I know I'm not the only one. Shouts to Dieselboy and The Crystal Method.

Fuck it. I'll get a deck. Pioneer DDJ-SB3. I don't care if they're discontinued! I'll find one...!

The Talented... Diaries

As a DJ, I give the listener EVERYTHING. I don't leave them wanting more. I literally give them an overdose of song. I say this, because I'm listening to my latest mixes (with the golden Pioneer DDJ). There is room for mystery, but again, no one knows who I am. Or they don't think I am who I really am. So there's that.

Speaking of my Gold Pioneer, I may have to switch back to Numark. Pioneers always short out on me. I do use a lot of force, and equally as much magic and energy. I recommend EVERY DJ try to balance themselves out through magic. Then again, don't. That's my thing. I know what I'm doing, even though it's never been done before.

Sorry for the delay in posts. I been cratedigging and creating. The Talented Mr. Hamilton has been producing for Hamilton, Charles all summer. You can check out the music here. Songs and instrumentals alike. I think I like producing as #ThTlntd.

More to say, more to be seen, more to come.

A Talented Update

Greetings!

You are...

with
The Talented..

...Mr. Hamilton!

SO much has been going on. I moved from a halfway house to temporary housing. I'm one step away from getting my own apartment! Leaving 649 (the halfway house) was bittersweet. I made some lifelong friends, and got AWESOME support from the staff. Before I left, DJ Enjetic sent me his black and gold Pioneer deck. It doesn't work for Serato (my new laptop is old by the turntable's standards), but it works like a JEWEL on VirtualDJ.

Even better. I use VDJ for production.

I created a folder for all my new mixes, called Goldmember. You can check them out HERE.

Speaking of The Talented 1's production, I've been producing for Hamilton, Charles. The new penname for rapper Charles Hamilton. Without revealing too much, you can expect more production from me in the near future. Maybe a Jr. album. And C. Hamilton has been waiting FOREVER for some TTMH beats.

The future is a revelation.

DJing for StarChasers

So, The Talented Mr. Hamilton is my DJ name. I love to do it, and it loves me back (in turn). But I'm a #PsychedelicDJ. Meaning, I'm not always within the algorithm of rhythm. I'm like iTunes on shuffle. But I can rock a party.

The last thing I want to do is let a StarChaser down (wipes Tanea's tears).

StarChaser Matteo ordered and sent me a brand new Roland DJ-202, of which my computer is too obsolete for. And I don't have enough memory on my computer (MacBook Pro, 2020) to download and install the necessary upgrades. As of now, I donated it to the halfway house I'm in. But it may come down to me simply using VirtualDJ and a mouse. I feel like it's breaking some sort of ground to do so. There is footage of me DJing. Self-recorded and fan-filmed. But it's a whole experience. A vibe, if you will. It's just, I send out vibes with the music. So it's a bit more than A vibe.

Pardon me for sounding pretentious.

The AI Speaks of Kanye

Kanye Omari West (born June 8, 1977) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, and fashion designer. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential and innovative figures in the music industry.

West was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He began his career as a producer, working with artists such as Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, and Ludacris. In 2004, he released his debut album, The College Dropout, which was a critical and commercial success. The album won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, and West was named Producer of the Year.

West has since released seven more studio albums, all of which have been commercially successful. His most recent album, Donda, was released in 2021. West has also won a total of 22 Grammy Awards, including two for Best Rap Album.

In addition to his music career, West has also pursued a career in fashion. In 2004, he founded the clothing line Pastelle, which was later discontinued. In 2011, he launched the sneaker brand Yeezy, which has become a popular choice among celebrities and fashion enthusiasts.

West is known for his outspoken personality and his willingness to challenge the status quo. He has been criticized for his controversial statements and behavior, but he has also been praised for his creativity and his commitment to his artistic vision.

West is a complex and controversial figure, but there is no doubt that he is one of the most influential and important artists of his generation. He has helped to shape the sound of hip hop, and his work has inspired a new generation of artists.

Yet it is virtually impossible to spin a Kanye set.

I think too much thought goes into Kanye's music. Which takes away from the original soul that we all have come to know and love.

That is my opinion.
Apparently AI was very kind to Mr. West.

Still I am...

AI don't know me!

The Talented Mr. Hamilton is a nickname given to Charles Hamilton, an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 10, 1987. Hamilton began his music career in 2006, when he released his debut mixtape, The Hamilton Experiment. The mixtape was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to establish Hamilton as a rising star in the hip hop world.

In 2007, Hamilton signed a record deal with Interscope Records. He released his debut album, The Midnite Special, in 2008. The album was a commercial disappointment, but it did feature the hit single "Brooklyn Girls."

In the years since the release of The Midnite Special, Hamilton has continued to release music, but he has also struggled with personal issues, including drug addiction and mental health problems. He has been in and out of jail, and he has been banned from performing in some cities.

Despite his personal struggles, Hamilton is still considered to be one of the most talented rappers of his generation. He has a unique voice and style, and he is a gifted lyricist. Hamilton is also a prolific producer, and he has produced music for other artists, including Lil Wayne, Drake, and Kanye West.

It remains to be seen whether Hamilton will be able to overcome his personal problems and achieve the success that he is capable of. However, there is no doubt that he is a talented artist with a lot to offer the world.

The misinformation in this post is tragic! If you know, you know. If you need to know, ask. But I was not born July 10th, and no one really gave me the name The Talented... . I came up with that YEARS ago, and was waiting for the right reason and time to use it. It is my DJ name. Instead of DJ Charles Hamilton (or DJ CH), it's The Talented Mr. Hamilton. Like A Pimp Named Slickback.

An AI post about Soul DJing

DJing soul music can be a great way to get people dancing and moving. Soul music is a genre of music that originated in the United States in the 1950s and 1960s. It is characterized by its strong vocals, catchy melodies, and driving rhythms. Soul music has been influenced by a variety of genres, including gospel, jazz, and R&B.

There are a few things to keep in mind when DJing soul music. First, it is important to have a good selection of music. You should have a variety of songs to choose from, so that you can keep the energy up and the crowd engaged. Second, it is important to be familiar with the songs you are playing. This will help you to mix them together smoothly and create a cohesive set. Third, it is important to be creative with your mixing. Don't be afraid to experiment and try new things. The more creative you are, the more fun your set will be.

Here are a few tips for DJing soul music:

Start with a strong opening song. This will set the tone for your set and get the crowd excited.

Mix songs with similar tempos. This will help to keep the energy up and the crowd dancing.

Use effects to add interest to your mixes. This could include things like filters, delays, and reverb.

Don't be afraid to mix different genres of soul music. This will help to keep your set interesting and varied.

End with a strong closing song. This will leave the crowd wanting more.

DJing soul music can be a lot of fun. With a little practice, you can create sets that will get people dancing and singing along. So get out there and start mixing!

Here are some additional tips for DJing soul music:

Be aware of the crowd's energy level. If the crowd is getting tired, you may want to slow down the tempo of your set. If the crowd is getting rowdy, you may want to speed things up.

Be respectful of the artists' work. Don't mix songs together that don't go well together.

Have fun! DJing soul music should be an enjoyable experience for both you and the crowd.
